Natasha Denona Glam Palette (+ Swatches!)

The Natasha Denona Glam palette is a 15 pan cool and neutral eyeshadow palette that allows you to customize your own color story within the palette. Natasha Denona is known for her glittery formulations and extreme glam looks. Something I noticed immediately about this eyeshadow palette is that the shades are not labeled by a shade name. Instead there are suggestions for where to apply the shades. While I appreciate the guidance on where to apply the shadows I prefer having easier access to the shade names, especially when someone asks me the eyeshadow color I'm wearing (which happens often wearing the Natasha Denona Glam palette!).

The shimmer eyeshadows in the Natasha Denona Glam Palette are foiled and if you want to turn up the foiled effect apply the shadows wet and your eyeshadow will WOW you with boldness! These shadows have minimal fallout. I prefer to apply the Glam Palette eyeshadows with my fingers and blend out with a brush. If you are going to apply with a brush I recommend using a dense brush that can pick up plenty of pigment! These eyeshadows are super blendable and you can create an easy color story that transitions from one beautiful cool toned shade to the next! The matte eyeshadows in this palette are rich, and you'll love the pigment payoff! I can't help but admire the undertones in the Natasha Denona Glam Palette. What you see in the pan with the naked eye is nothing compared to how beautiful these swatch and look on the eyes! This is proof you cannot judge an eyeshadow's color payoff by a simple glance at the pan! I've been surprised (both good and bad) more than once by the swatches of eyeshadows after looking at them in the pan! All swatches below were taken in natural sunlight (which is important considering I believe makeup should look good in natural light).

Natasha Denona's Glam Palette reminds me of the early 2000's icy blue cool tones that everyone liked wearing! Do you remember the early 2000's Britney Spears cool toned eyeshadow moments, especially during holiday performances? That's the vibe that this eyeshadow palette gives me except it's more modern and updated making it perfect for a modern woman (or guy) who LOVES cool toned eyeshadow! The Glam Palette would be perfection for anyone creating a holiday look - especially a New Year's Eve look (even if you're sitting at home thanks to 'rona)! This is the first Natasha Denona launch that I didn't hesitate to purchase and it's the only cool toned eyeshadow palette I own! These eyeshadow shades really POP and I believe will look especially beautiful on brown eyes. I recommend you using cool toned blush (such as Ilia's Color Haze in Temptation or RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Demure). I like to wear a cool toned pink lip with the Natasha Denona palette due to the undertones. However, if you're using the golds or rusty shades in this palette a beautiful neutral lip would create a perfect cohesive look (you can never go wrong with a natural nude lip!). The two shades pictured above on the far right are very similar; however, the gray on the far right has much more depth to it. I think these two gray shades would look gorgeous on someone with medium to deep skin, especially due to the pigment and nearly metallic look!

The eyeshadow swatches above are my favorite five to use in this palette! As you can see the swatches pull more warm than cool, but still have the beautiful icy undertones for the last three shades pictures! Gold eyeshadow almost always makes or breaks an eyeshadow palette for me. If there's a beautiful gold shade of eyeshadow I will almost always purchase an eyeshadow palette (not all gold eyeshadows are created equal)! While I do not like to wear a smoldering eyeshadow look these days (I feel like it's a bit too much during the times of 'Rona) I absolutely love using the shades above as a single shadow look with some warm cocoa eyeliner and black mascara! Too much of a good thing (including gorgeous eyeshadow) can be too much (unless you were talking to 25 year old Meranda who thought wearing blue eyeshadow and blue mascara was hot). With so many of us socially distancing and wearing a mask I appreciate a simple yet beautiful eyeshadow look that can be put together with one or two shades. Don't you?

The shadows pictured above are admittedly the least used of this color story for me. I do like to use the shade on the far right as a transition shade (it is labeled a transition shade in the palette). The fourth shade from the right is pretty for a simple everyday single shadow look, but it's going to be a bit light for someone with medium to deep skin. I recommend using some of the light matte shades mixed in with your blush (only a very gentle swoop of color - nothing more than that!) for a cohesive look. A little goes a LONG way!

I highly recommend the Natasha Denona Palette if you're looking for a cool neutral eyeshadow palette that's formulated with quality pigment and incredible color payoff! If you want to see more photos of this palette and the looks I've created with it go to my Instagram page @MerandaXoOfficial and check it out! I cashed out some of my Sephora points for $10 off of this palette so if you have the option to score this palette at a discount go for it! You can purchase the Natasha Denona Glam Palette at www.natashadenona.com or www.sephora.com and don't forget Sephora usually has a few fantastic sales where VIB members get a discount code (I'm all about helping you save money on your beauty purchases!). What do you think about this palette? Do you have it? Love it? Let me know if my swatches helped you make a decision on this palette! I have found swatches are the best way to convince me to ''add to cart'' or leave it behind. The proof of the color and formula are always in the swatches and wear time! The Natasha Denona Glam Palette eyeshadow wear time was a solid eight hours for me! I think you'll love the way these shadows play off natural sunlight creating a beautiful look regardless of using just one shade or multiple in the Natasha Denona Glam Palette!
